According to Distimo, the Russian App Store is one of the fastest growing markets in terms of revenues generated on the App Store. In the last twelve month period (May 2011 – May 2012), the Russian market grew by 115%. Only 4% of all apps in the App Store for iPhone are in Russian, however, 70% of the revenue from the 200 top grossing apps was generated by apps that were translated into Russian. Russian iPhone users clearly like to read: the Books category is a top four category in terms of generated revenue.
